Think i found my pushrod problem:rockers, need some info.I Put SOme PICS IN

here is my problem,i got 1.7 pedistal mount roller rockers for my ford 5.0. they dident have any instructions from jegs. I need some info. I installed them using the stock square u beam that goes between the 2 valves, and now there is way to much clearance between the push rod and the rocker. Then i installed a stock rocker, and everything was fine. Next i took and bolted down the roller rocker with just what came with the kit, the square base to the head, and it seems fine. But, my question is, do i need to use those small square ties that are on the stock setup? it seems they made the base of your lifter to fit into those, but they rise it to much. thanks any help would be great

without that peice

Lastly, what pushrods(length) do i need?

Use those link bars between each cylinder's rocker arms. It will help with rocker arm stability and will be much easier on the trunion and needle bearings in the rocker.

Check for pushrod length. No one can determine the exact length you are going to need. Pushrod length depends on deck height, the cylinder head's deck thickness, cam lobe profile, and rocker arm ratio.

Yea i agree, My friend bought a set(the cheap ****) off ebay, they look just like them.. He couldnt set the rockers up at all, on certain cyls they would work great and others the PR's would appear to be wayyy to short. He finally gave up with those rockers and bought vibs old scorpions and all is well.

Dude, we're just trying to help you so something catastrophic doesn't happen down the road.

You won't be asking "where to get pushrods," you'll be asking "where to get a new shortblock because I used ****ty Chinese roller rockers to try and save a buck."
