Could I get ~1,000 more outta these? Stupid winter rims. I don't wanna spend $400 on two new tires if I don't gotta.

Yea it's winter, but we're supposed to get a mild winter here in Jersey. It might see snow once or twice. Think I should risk it?

do you have an alternate mode of transportation? The ice layer of tread is long gone, so if you get ice you will have limmited traction. If its a light snow fall you should be ok.

IMO just roast those off and get some new blizzaks. My snow tires had a bit more tread than that left on them and sucked balls, new tires made a world of difference.

I think you will be fine, if the tread is that deep or deeper all the way across.

I have zero tread on my daily driver honda....too many burnouts and drifting I ran with very little tread on the khumos I had up front on the stang...it was horrible even in the slightest wet. Get new tires, just get all season cheapies.

I spent $100 to get a set of 2 Pirelli Wintersport snow tires off eBay for my rear wheels. I'm in PA. They were used but had 7/32 left. I drove from Western PA to York today in the snow and am SO glad I had them. They bite very well. My stock tires handle like **** in snow.

Moral: Get on eBay, spend not very much on two snow tires and get them mounted. The stock tires should be fine in the front as long as you don't drive like an asshat.

Well how did you make out with the snow? I have more tread on my rear tires than you do. I came from South Jersey back to Phila. last night after the Colts game. Once I got on the city streets I saw the old traction control light a few times.

I haven't put them on yet. I just ordered 2 more Blizzaks and hopefully they'll come in Wed/Thurs so maybe this weekend I'll put on my winter rims for a month or two.
