Please ask me how much my supercharger cost
yup.
i never really said anything about modding the 4.6, as i know thats very expensive. but modding a 5.0, thats not cheap either. cheapER yes, cheap no. when you figure in the cost of parts, install labor and a tune it becomes VERY pricey very quickly.
even if timeslips were a big concern of mine, ive seen 99-04s with minimal mods ( bolt ons) run very respectable times at the track. which should reflect a peppy car on the street.
but i do agree with u, stock 4 stock im sure the new edge would be quicker than my car.
yea the 4.6's top end power is night and day difference between the 5.0, they rev higher, love the upper power band and are extremely reliable motors, ive got 105k on my blown 99 and it runs like new
Another thing about the 5.0 is that they are easier and more conventional to work on, most of the work you can do yourself fairly easily while on the 4.6's you have to know exactly what you are doing and doing simple mods like longtube headers is an all day affair while on the 5.0 you can do that in less than an hour..

) either way you go its going to be good, stick with your 5.0 and just mod it or start over and learn some new stuff, LoL thats what i did.
