I gave 5250 for my last ls1 z28 with 100k on the clock bad clutch hydraulics scared the seller. ( 6 speeds are expensive to rebuild ) That being said I have 6500 in my 04 yellow gt I picked up with less than 100k, so on this site I payed too much considering my car is stripped. I thought that was a good deal for Alabama, considering what mustangs are going for around here. Bottom-line is whenever you buy whatever you buy a better deal will come up as soon as you buy it. Make sure it's somthing you want and think it's a reasonable price.

bought my 99 gt 3 years ago for 7k with 112 on it...good car but at 120 it spun 2 rod bearings...rebuilt it for less than 7 thousand$ and now I'm back on the road pumping 473 hp through that sexy little 2v.
me and my bro did most of the work.

I bought my 99 last spring with a around 85000 for 7,000. It also had the cobra r hood, was lowered, and had the exhaust and all the mods that I would have wanted to do to it

If it's a decent car but you find a few problems, point them out and see if you can get the price lower.

It must be a TX thing, since I don't ever see these deals they are talking about either. That being said, I wouldn't pay $6K for a GT with 161K on it. I bought my 99 Cobra from the second owner with only 52K miles on it for $9500. I think I was pretty lucky, but better deals are out there.

I have a 99 and have loved it, ive got about 115k miles (20k boosted) and she still runs like a champ never had a major problem. I bought it about 6 years ago with 67k miles on it for 7500, bone stock.

i bought a 00 gt for 3500 it had 120,xxx miles. it was stock. and worth it. i sold it this weekend for 5000 and bought a 2001 gt vert for 5000 this one has 132k miles but definately well kept and has a 6 speed tranny. really nice. its all about talking down. many people will go low if you have cash in hand. trust me, ive been both seller and a buyer. good luck!

99 GT

I'm also in Greenville, and that's a decent price for those cars around here. I tried to click on the craigslist link, but it has been deleted, so that car has probably been sold.

Like others, my concern would be the boost gauges, says to me the car has been driven hard.

I would keep looking for a similar car at a similar price, but closer to stock.
