Well, a buddy has a 351W bare block out of a mach 1 that he is willing to sell. I was thinking i would do a 408 stroker, aussie 2v cleveland heads, performer intake and cam, and some kindof nasty carb. I would want it streetable. What hp numbers would this setup put to the wheels? The motor will also be built for nitrous... Thanks... STREETABLE - remember. :nice:

Cleveland Heads !

Unless you can get those Ausie heads for dirt cheap I'd pass on that idea and leave the cleveland stuff for restorers and Panteras ! It's not that they're bad heads, cause they're pretty good. It's just that they're heavy as hell and really expensive for the power you get in return. I'd go with a set of AFR aluminum Windsor heads; the 185's for a motor as big as you're going, and hang on to your ass cause it'll have some real BIG torque ! They flow as good or better, they're half the weight and they're less likely to cause clearance problems because of their smaller dimensions and you'll be able to buy headers that will fit them to your chasis easier.

Im looking for the best solution for my build. I'm afraid the 185 heads would not be enough for what I am wanting to do... correct me if im wrong. I want a motor that has pleanty of low end torque, and comes alive at higher rpms 4-6k... I might have a Ed C custom cam done for it.

This is my suggestion and my future plan.

My plan would be a 392 storker with proted Gt-40X heads and a 750 Speed Demon carb. Im still learning about cams but the Comp Cams XE282HR seems like a good one but not 100% sure about cam "talk" yet. The reason I'd go with a 392 is there cheaper to build and machine. I think a set-up like this would be very streetable and have lots of low-end TQ.
