Thinking of getting Nitrous - any suggestions?

Carb have a 650 DP on it now. Mostly street - like to try at drag strip but would be far and few between. Like to stay under 500. I've got a c4 and 8" - both upgraded to handle more HP - but over 500 hp may be pushing it. Im guessing I'm getting 400/400 now

I worked at NOS for a few years and had nitrous on eveything i had. I used a Super Power Shot for years on a my mild 289 and had the 125HP jets and it made a HUGE difference.I used a Holley Blue pump and that was plenty. My 2800 stall converter went to about 3500 on the bottle.

On your 347, i think anything more then 100HP would scare you the first time you hit it.

I agree w/ iskwezm. Anything more than a basic powershot kit, where you can tee into your fuel supply for the fuel side of the plate will be a "surprise".

Once you get into a super powershot (up to +175) piggybackin' off of your existing fuel supply becomes iffy. You can certainly add a bigger elec fuel pump (i.e. Holley blue or black) and still use it to provide fuel safely for both the engine and the plate.

Let's recap - you have a C4 and 8" rear and want 600 hp. One of two things is going to happen: (1) you will do nothing but spin the tires, or (2) you manage to start getting traction some kind of way in which case the 8" and/or C4 and/or driveshaft will break in short order. If an axle lets go you will make an immediate 90 degree turn.

You need to rethink your driveline before trying for that much power.

In previous post stated I want to keep it to 500 just for the reasons you stated. thanks
