This a good price on gettin gears put in?

Thats just about what i paid for mine, Jake Lomatta installed mine, they do alot of test installs for magazines and such. I think i paid 250 and i got axle bearings, all thee other bearings (the big kit from 50resto) the trac lock rebuilt, and gears in. Youll need like 30 bucks for fluids. Just be ready though, like most things with my car when i took it in they found my rear brakes were completley blown and had to replace everything, a $250 job turned into a $700 job in the end. Not saying thatll happen to you just watch out cause shops always find something else wrong with your car. And they have to tell you about it, because if something happens you can say it was their fault.

And about feeling the gears, honestly when i pulled out of the shop i had to drop the hammer and didnt feel a difference at all. The only way i could tell they had done something was the rpm;s were alot higher. After a while though you start to feel the pull, and the track times DEFINATLY tell the story. I went from a 14.2@98mph with a 2.2 60' to a 13.8@99mph with a 2.0 60' with ONLY gears. I dont regret doing it and would be the first thing i would do if i got another mustang, youll enjoy it but just dont expect much, youll be let down.
