Sorry, just wanted to rant:( I get the car running perfect and now I cant drive it cause the rear tires are bald and one is now completly flat. I have been only using it to go to the doctors office latley ( I have been sick and unable to work because of Chemo) now I cant even do that. I dont know about you guys but thats the only time I am trulley happy is when I drive her. I always feel for Zax cause he cant even drive anymore, so I really pray for him. I hate to see him get rid of his Cobra, Id die without mine:( So all you guy be thankful for your health cause it can really screw you over.

yea well you dont have the problem ive got. So I was changing out my spark plugs. Got 7 of the 8 out no problem. took a while doing that cause my intake was not wanting to cooperate. one of the damn bolts that holds down the spark plug boot has a stripped head. dont know how its stripped but it could have been when i took the car in to have the plugs changed. i now cant get that damn thing out of there. so im running 7 2 step colder plugs gapped to .035 and 1 stock plug gapped to .054. I am going to try and use a dremel to cut a slot across the top of the bolt so i can get a flat head screw driver in there to get it out.

anything to make ya mad. whatever can go wrong will go wrong.

Did you even read his post? I'd suggest that you re-read it before you state that your problem is larger than his. I lost my little brother to cancer and it was no fun. I'm older now, so health issues continue to rise. Cars are my sanctuary, so I completely understand your plight. Keep your head up! If you were closer to me, I'd come over lend you a hand.

yes i read his post. I have a pretty bad health problem as well. I was diagnosed when i was a baby with severe migraines. They come on almost like a stroke where I cannot move or think or even talk. One whole side of my body will go completely numb. And its the same thing with me. my car cheers me up as well. Last year was my first year of college and I hadnt gotten a migraine since I was 5. All of a sudden I began getting migraines because of all the stress at school. I didnt have my car with me either my dad would not let me take it the first year and then he felt bad and let me have it half way through the year and I am now half way through my sophmore year and have not gotten a migraine. When i get stressed i go for a drive and it seems to really help me a lot. I would be lost without my car. I feel for ya man.

maybe someone near you has a spare or something you could borrow. I would die with out my car as well man. It is what completes me

how far away is the doctor?

you might be able to get away with getting a air pump that plugs into your cig lighter and just pumping up your tires before you go and then maybe when you leave the doctors office agian if its a slow enough leak.

And i apologize lasersvt if my first post came off as me trying to say that my problem is worse.

where did he say that his problem was larger than his?

He didn't. But, don't you think that he indicated that? The quote was, "Yea well you don't have the problem I've got". And then he goes on to describe a car problem ignoring the content of the original thread regarding Laser's health issues, and chemo, and that he is too sick to work or fix his car. And you don't think 04GT's response lacked compassion for Laser's health issues? We all have health issues and I have a few myself. Still not bad for my age. But certainly a car problem isn't "As large" as a life and death health issue. People say alot of things without actually stating it directly...As do you...

Sounds like you're pretty judgmental

Hey guys dont all get bent outa shape, were all faimly here. Its all good, and 04: Sears has this great little bolt removing tool that drills a small hole in the head and has a reverse kinda bit that drives the bolt out (up to 13mm). I dont know where your at but Id lend you mine:nice: Im just sooo mad sometimes cause of the financial thing because of being sick. I have a small air compressor at home and filled the tire up this morning but when I was leaving the doctor it was flat again (both rear tires have cord showing) so I put on the spare, no big deal just the doctors office is 38 miles each direction. I know we all have problems and it helps just talking to the "BOYZ" on here. Now I gotta find some cheap arse used tires for my baby till I can afford new ones for the spring.

Where are you located? I am sure someone around you may have tires that they are ready to swap out... bald tires are better than belts any day!!!

You can also go to some tire shops near you to see if they have any used tires. They will usually work a deal.

thanks man i appreciate it but i am out here in virginia lol. basically the bolt is really soft and the metal is just breaking so i got some quiksteel putty that dries and will be really hard like steel so i am going to glue a 7mm socket onto the bolt and then take it out that way. ill lose a socket but o well whatever works i guess. lol

Not a bad idea, cheeper than the bolt kit LOL

lol thanks. after swearing up a storm it came to me. the dremel idea didnt work cause the metal was getting so weak that when i turned the screw driver all it did was mash up the screw head more lol. i figure ehhh lose an old socket that is probably all crap now anyways. It was either lose the socket or take the dremel and cut the plastic of the boot around the screw and then pull the screw out so i would have lost the spark plug boot lol.
