Tonight I was taking off parts getting my car ready for the cam and head swap and when I pulled off the upper intake, I noticed that the #1 runner was almost black and none of the other ones were like it. What does it mean???

Also I pulled my plugs and all but the rear 2 (#'s 4 and 8) were almost pure white. Should I pull the vaccume line off of my FPR until I can get an adjustable one? Anyways, heres the picture of the intake... tell me what you think about it.

That's probably from getting all that oil sucked up through the PCV. Did you get that fixed yet? You really need a AFPR. My plugs were going way lean until I cranked up the fuel pressure a little. Try snagging one out of the classifieds for cheap. That's where I found mine.

Theres hardly any oil getting sucked up into my intake after I put the baffle for the PCV valve on.... I think I'll run my car without the vac. line hooked up to the FPR until I get enough money to buy an adjustable one.

But why is it just on that 1 runner that its so black?

Hmmm, that is pretty black alright. I wonder if you're having valve sealing problems on that cylinder.

Doesn't matter anyway, you're replacing the heads .

You can back the timing off a little, that'll have the same effect as richening up the mixture. And get that AFPR!
