This is a must know!!! HpRanch

+1 for HPRanch!!!!!!!!! John is an awesome tuner. Was very helpfull on everything. He helped me destroy my stock block on his dyno a few months ago.:nice: Wife also made us some chesseburgers. As soon as I get my heads, I'll be going back for some more.

Nice numbers Justin. 13lbs of boost with no intercooler:eek: You running a meth cooler? I foresee blown head gaskets in your future bro:shrug:

Shell be fine for now.:) I am looking into meth injection just for added safety though.

well hell justin i cant wait to ride int he car and that is awesome and i think i found my new tuner
Yeah not too shabby! I am running MUCH less timing than my prior tune with better A/F ratios throughout the entire RPM range, and more importantly, in the most common detonation spot (3,000-4500) was what I believe he said. Had the luxury of him sharing that knowledge with me as well, and giving me the option to tune for more power there. I of course chose the safer of the two options:nice: .

Congrats!!!!! And nice numbers! Glad to hear you liked using John, he's definitely a great guy. He allowed people to tune with his help in between runs during our dyno day a few months ago. My car was leaning out about 4500rpm, he went in fixed it, now pefect A/F, and picked up some more power.

Corey? Cats? Na. Cant' be.

I haven't posted on the SVTP local forum since the whole LL issue, kinda ticked me off also....of well I dont own a SVT anyways.

Ha, ya. I bought some high flow bassani cats and got them mounted. The car is extremely more tame sounding, lol. I definitely gained some low end back with the back pressure, but with the rain, I haven't had a chance to wind out the engine to see if I had lost anything up top. I am sure I have.

Congrats! I've had my car tuned there too. Really great to deal with. May have to go there again when I get my 3.4 Whipple andother mods.
Small sugg. Dump the Cobra intake if your funds allow. Thats going to be your restriction. The maf too. The Lightning 90mm works great on 5.0s! I know this first hand. Its WAY better than C&L, especially in the lower revs. You wont be disappointed! Also. I ran the same boost you are w/o issie. If John tuned it and didnt have a problem consider that your answer. You'll be fine. Did you see his convert there? Does it look familiar. Its one of MM&FFs KOTS cars. Took top honors the first year out!

Thank you very much, for the congrats and the suggestions. I know the Cobra intake is a restriction on it, but in the wise words of John "your about to your limits, and I don’t know if you want to push it any further." I will leave the restrictions there. Honestly this is just a fun weekend cruise and the occasional PIR experience. Gets an avg of 2000 miles a year put on it.:)

As for being ok with boost levels, I agree I am just fine. If it happens it happens, but I trust his ability and feel confident I am ok. His beautiful convert was there and yeah I read up online about his KOTS win. An amazing guy with a real talent:nice:

+ 2 for John.

Them numbers are kind of low I think.

I had almost the same combo just with edelbrock heads and intake with an Ecam and made 455hp @10psi.

Maybe its the tuner?

Im happy. And if you have read what I previously posted there is quite a bit more locked up in timing alone. We went low on timing to prevent detonation with the boost levels. He said there was about another 30 locked up in the timing which would translate to app 447 on a mustang dyno, about 467 on a dynojet. Hope that helps your confusion:nice:

Also, I didnt post my numbers in the original post as I was bragging on Johns behalf, not my vehicles. Far from being the tuner, you should check him out!:nice:
