With BOV's you run a rich conditiion after shift.
The BOV is downstream of the MAF,the ECU schedules xx amount of fuel for the airflow is sees from the MAF.When the BOV vents to atmosphere some of the air is dumped overboard and not mixed with fuel.Thus,the ECU has scheduled fuel for the airflow it swa from the MAF,but there is not actually
that amount of air going into the combustion chamber.So there is less air to mix with the fuel which makes it run on a rich condition for a short period of
time.The recirculating BOV puts the air back into the intake system so what the MAF sees is actually going into the combustion chamber.Unless you are
pushing alot of WHP don't worry about getting a BOV.They can actually hurt your engine.
