I have a buddy who had his transmission fluid on an auto changed about 15,000 miles ago and is black as black as can be already....What does this mean?? bad seals?? any ideas would be helpful thanks!!!
This sounds very bad. Are you sure they used the correct tranny fliud? I think Ford changed their tranny fluid requirement on the newer 4R70W's. I think it uses a synthetic now. Could be wrong though.
If it hasn't lost any, I don't see how the seals would be bad, because then wouldn't it leak? Ya'll should have checked it to make sure none was lost....
I'd try putting in a quality synthetic tis go round (Amsoil, Royal Purple, etc...).
