I got to the point where i can see it both ways, and i can switch it. Really trippy though.

counter-clockwise but i'm usually a logical guy. Often to my own fault. But after awhile, i notice it moving the other way, clock-wise. My Psychology Journal tells me that this means my brain trys what it's used to using to solve a problem, then eventually turns to the other method, in this case, using creative observations. "An action most regularly observed among mature (age) people's brains, commonly perceived as wisdom"

Initially, clockwise. Then after reading a little and glancing back at the pic, counter-clockwise. Then it would switch.

I saw the flicker too, and i initially though bs, but then i got good at changing it on my own command. Looking out the corner of my eye at it is the easiest way for me to change it.

I don't get it. For me at least, she turns clockwise and stays that way. I don't understand the optical illusion portion of it because her right foot always travels from the right side of the screen to the left side of the screen and infront of the rest of the image.

So I for one, cannot see how it could be percieved as spinning in the opposite direction.

After watching a bit longer, I saw it swap directions too. It appears to swap randomly.

It depends on how you see the raised leg, whether it is in front of her body, or behind. I thought the same way as you, until I looked at something else, off the screen, and looked at it in the corner of my eye, then it sudddenly flipped. Now i can make her change directions before she even finishes a full revolution. Another tip...stop looking at her perky little nipples

You're right. I've got it down now. I can change the direction at will now.

Try looking at and concentrating on the shadow of her straight foot. Once you get the foot to rotate in the direction that you desire, you can then look at the whole image turning in that direction. Pretty kewl.

I've been switching my tv between Law and Order Criminal Intent, and Overhaulin'. She spins clockwise when I am watching Overhaulin, and counter-clockwise on Law and Order. Weird.

it's dependent on what frame your mind initiates the string w/. If it starts w/ the foot's reflection on the floor pointing left it will make your mind will assume counter-clock wise. If it initiates with the reflection pointing to the right then vise versa. You have to use the reflection because that's the only 2d object that you don't have to rely on depth perception with, due to one not being sure if the leg is going behind or in front of the girl. Clockwise is more common, for right handed dominate people assume all "swirl" movements are this way before the brain shows it to be wrong.

I'm not sure that it's dependant on the frame that you pick up. Everytime I look, she's moving clockwise. I have to concentrate to get her to move the opposite direction.

This is one of the coolest illusions ... stare at it like you are looking at one of those 3d picture deals. Then look away and look back at it. Once you get it down, you can control it with your brain and make her go either way. It's crazy the first time you see it!

If I just look at her without concentrating it always counter-clockwise. If I stare at the calves for about 30 seconds it switches and stays that way until I look away, then when I look again its counter-clockwise again.
