This is why we can’t have nice things

I did several of the budget cores then finally gave up finding one that didn't leak. I didn't realize you could still buy the Motorcraft core. It was identical to my original. Having the cheap one and good one side by side was crazy. The cheap one felt like it was about half a pound. The Motorcraft one would be good to keep by the bed in case a burglar needed wacked in the head.....very heavy and solid. I had to pull the dash multiple times thanks to me not knowing. The good news is I can get the whole dash in and out in no time.
