This looks pretty restorable for $3K.

I was just out browsing around and ran across this if anyone is interested. Says it is a '65 V-8 Vert. Pictures make it look pretty solid, but hard to tell.

Ask the owner for more pictures of the floorboards. The amount of rust on the turn signal and steering wheel retaining nut indicate there has been some moisture on the inside. Also get a picture of the car with the top up. This should indicate if the interior has been rained on too much. Just be cautious with purchases of vehicles you can't see in person.

There are also no side emblems for the 289. They either don't exist (removed) or the vehicle was origianlly a six. Get a picture of the engine compartment while you are at it. Also have the owner send you the data plate information.

I can't argure that $3k is a good price for a vert. - even if it does need a lot of work.

Ya, I'm not particularly interested in it, but I thought maybe someone here might be. I'll be looking for something that is less work than that one when the time comes.
