i think you can do it, but you need a lot of work, which would also cost a lot of money..so you'd be safer getting a 2v kit, like the mongoose kit from T & J..
well i belive they are saying good things for a reason. i have not heard a single negative thing about the guys at T & J. with all the people around here, that means they get a big plus in my book.
