This should tell the story. Unported procomps vs afr 205's pics.

Those procomps are bad AZZ... lol, put AFR's up to about any other head on the market, and the comparison stops there.

My AFR's dont look CNC ported??? they looked kinda rough the last time I had em off. I wonder if AFR sent me back the wrong heads? Because when I firs got them they were nice and smooth, this time they looked like layed aluminum. HMMMMM now ya got me thinking, I had one of my dads friends do some work on them as well, and I remember when I got them back from him they were gleaming. I didnt put them on this time around so they were shipped directly to my mechanics shop without me seeing them.... This could be why my dyno numbers were horrible......

I am having them taken off as we speak, these are not my old heads, I just called Sid the guy who did my port work, for the before and after pics. I sent the into AFR about 1 year ago for the new valves and springs, then had them put on at my mechanics shop. I know for a fact these are not the heads I sent in, the port work Sid did is not the normal porting, and when he just looked at these, he said there is no way these are the same heads. Now i'm pissed....

Broken rocker studs and now to find out theyre not even the ones I sent in... I'm now wondering about there revised port design...

Ok scratch that Sid just called me, after cleaning and getting the gasket material off he said they are mine.

All the carbon build up made them look wrong without taking them off. We took them off to clean em up, and check my valves (checking for bent valves from the broken rocker studs), and the ports were correct. I was jumping the gun a bit, thats me getting all fired up over nothing (besides the studs). So no switcheroo here.

AFR makes some very nice cylinder heads.

Anyone saying otherwise is bias or trying to make a sale.

C'mon David, who's being bias now?
Don't get me wrong there are some afr headed combo's out there making some decent #'s but you act as if AFR is the end all of cylinder heads.

My AFR 185's appeared to be CNC Ported from AFR.

Those heads will really wake your combo up. Buying parts twice sucks!

Rob, they are not the end all cylinder head.

They are just a nice cylinder head and there are a good share of others, as you know!

I have seen a share of cylinder heads. AFR were among the nicest quality. The latest one I had in my hands was a Vic. Jr. and a TFS 170 cc.

Are you going to dyno it now with the new heads? I'd like to see how much the procomps were really holding you back.

410-420 considering not the most free flowing exhaust, questionable cam(at this point, I am questioning everything), no porting of upper intake..
