What kind of clearance do you see? I've got H&R SS springs (about a 2" drop) and the drivers side LT header is only about 6" off the ground (if that). I knew that they were going to be low.....but THAT low? Im so damn paranoid while driving because I think that I'll bottom-out.

Also, should the drivers-side header hang lower than the passenger side with MAC LT's?

I was actually wondering the same thing lately because like to get longtubes over the winter, but right now the lowest point on my car is about 2" off the ground. I'm thinking about getting bassani mid-lengths and their off road/ catted swappable x-pipe. That way I woNt have to worry as much about the collectors being ripped off.

Anyone have any experience with them?

I've had two different sets of LT's on mine & for whatever reason, the drivers side hung lower. I had about the same clearance, maybe even a little less actually. I went back to shorties for two reasons... A: the LT's hung too low & B: I had to pull the pass side header all the way off to get the bellhousing off when my clutch went earlier this year... that was the main kicker for me, juat too much of a hassle. sounded awesome though! but anyway, I had Mac LT's on my old notch as well, I had about the same 7-8in clearance & the drivers side hung lower on that one too... beats me

As far as clearance goes, I've got C springs, an automatic, and Mac LT's and if you're not careful going over speedbumps or poorly graded curbs it's not uncommon to hear a light clunk or scrape. I've had them in for a little over 2 years and don't have any dents or scraped on the actual headers themselves or the flange. Just need to be aware of your limited clearance. Both sides are at the same level, no "hang" to speak of.

Mine hang real low. Love the sound and power, but they drag everywhere with my Steeda springs. I even have to run over speed bumps at funny angles to keep from dragging. I've been considering going back to manifolds since I want to lower the car more.

Yea with my lower front bumper and LT's I take my time and always go at any speedbumps at angles. That helps alot just go slow and piss off other people in parking lots. I think in my exhaust system the lowest point is the H pipe but the headers have been dragged a time or two. Biggest thing for me with the longtubes was a swaybar/stabilizer starting to rub a pretty good spot on the driver side!

Alright, I suppose it's just something I have to get used to. The pro's far outweigh the cons with the headers because car freakin' hauls with them mwahaha

Yea you definitely have to be careful. I feel like my mid pipe rubs first though. The key is definitely making sure you go slow over speed bumps or goofy train tracks. And as someone said in certain cases you need to go over bumps at an angle so you don't scrape. It is an awful sound. I have BBK LT's btw

ya i just got done installing mac lt's and matching o/r h. my driveway is funky so i have to go at an angle now or else i scrap. i make sure to avoid speed bumps too. but i love them sound and how much the engine breaths better

I've bottomed mine a couple times They're the lowest point on my car. Sucks.

Same set uP with h&r and have BBK long tubes. I rub my h pipe more often than my lts to be honest. Just drive smart and you'll be good to go .
