Those with Comp Cams xe282hr-12 hyd

Anybody run Canfield heads with the Comp cams XE282hr-12 hyd cam?

3 questions:

What size pushrod are you running?

What RPM are you achieving?

Did you advance the cam the suggested 108 centerline or did you install it dot to dot?
(I degreed mine correctly I believe)

I am running a DSS 306 balanced assembly and I am having trouble revving past 5700 without valve float. I put in high performance replacement hyd lifters from crane, I have double valve springs, but I might have the wrong length pushrod because I am currently running 6.550 in a .080 diameter.

I have not had a chance to use my pushrod length checker. I am also getting noise from a .010 clearance between the pushrod and the guide plate from sideways "wiggle" when the spring isnt under load. Should there be any clearance, and do they make a .090 diameter pushrod?

Any input would help.

Thanks,
Mike
