I lucked out upon one when I was searching for a mini starter, instead of using mine. I bought mine from Don's Hotrod Shop in Tucson, AZ. A local performance parts shop. I counted the teeth on my old starter, and this starter, and they both had 10 teeth, and the distance apart seemed similar, so I figured why not, and it worked.
The brand is Hitachi. It's number is Hitachi PP101.
The only website I've found that sells them online is http://www.carshopinc.com/product_info.php/products_id/27604/PP101
The manufacturer's website is http://www.hap.com/index.html
I don't have any pictures of it compared to the stock starter, sadly.. but it's much smaller, I was able to fit it into my 351w with the moroso pan without issue, whereas with the stock starter, I would have had to modify. I'll try to sneak in a picture under or something in the future.
The starter definately sounds good though, here's it making it's noise when I first started my engine (the smoke is excess header paint). http://www.starshadow.com/~gael/mustangiiruns.wmv
Hope this helps you guys.
