I came across this flywheel on eBay while looking for all the pieces for my T5 swap. I need a 28 ounce imblanace. Any opinions on this one? It's certainly one of the cheapest I have found at $119. I plan to run late model bellhousing and 10.5 inch clutch. Let me know if you think have a better suggestion based on product and value.

I went with a flywheel that seemed simialr to what you found. I bought mine from the Mustang Depot for 90, brand new, spec 1.1. All the advertised was 50o.z. balence but I called and asked them and the had a 28oz. and shipped it out to me.

some might it's too cheap to be any good, but it hasn't failed yet....knock on wood, after a few start ups and revs(maybe not tested to the fullest but).

Anyone else out there running one of these flywheels? My 347 is rated at 400+ HP at the flywheel, any reason to be concerned with this flywheel? I know aluminum is lighter and less rotating mass is good, but I am not racing and can't see the need to spend the extra $$, especially with all the other parts I need to buy for this project.

I got my current flywheel from Summit after making many mistakes. I can't remember exactly but I think you need a 164 tooth flywheel, with the correct imbalance for your engine to fit the late model T5 bellhousing.

I was told the opposite. I was told that you need a 157 tooth flywheel balanced to 28oz, which is what I have, for it to work with the starter and late bell housing. If I'm thinking correctly late models come with 157 50oz and earlys are 164 28oz. But since your motor is a early balanced to 28oz but your useing a late bell just order one that is 157 and 28oz.

Thanks Steel. I have read that it should be the 157 tooth, 28 oz version. Where did you get yours?

Basically that one but 28oz. In case you didn't notice its mustang depot. Just email them and tell them what you need and they will hook you up with a good flywheel.
