Im thinking this may be the route I go, and just wanted to see about a few things first off. Speaking of the offroad X, no cats for me... lol.

Is it a "true" X pipe?

Are there other comparable X pipes that offer better gains?

Hows the quality?

it is a true X. I have it now. The fit is real good. Not one problem with it at all. For the price, its a great piece. The only thing is that it is not stainless steel. I would recomend it though

Another vote for the UPR X - my wife's 01 has it...mine has the Pypes X - both fit without problems...I'd recommend either one.

Video sounds good.

I guess im pretty set on the UPR pipe then. Im thinking of Flowmaster's or Mac to match it. I want the X performance, chambered sound. I know Mac's flow and little better than Flowmasters, but I think I like the Flow's tone better.

I've had mine on for about 3 years. No problems yet with it.

Only thing I noticed was after about 3300 RPMs it got more quiet. ( it wasn't loud all the way up to 5000 RPM ). I got the stock catback on though, so I hope thats what it is.

ive had my UPR X pipe for a little over 3 years now and i love it. great SOTP gain, good fitment, and awesome sound. it is very raspy, at least mine is along with my MAC produmps. i have a clip somewhere, i gotta find it....

EDIT: i'll be more specific. mine screams all the way to redline, but from 2500 RPMs to 3000RPMs there is a crazy rasp/gurgle thats sounds oh so sweet and echos off everything.

Now I'm starting to wish I saved some of my money and went with the UPR over the Bassani. Oh well...

I have the UPR catted x-pipe. I am very pleased with it! The reason I chose the catted version is because of the raspy tone and popping noises that the O/R pipes make, especially when you let off the gas. Also, the smell of gas at a stoplight isn't up my alley. The guys at UPR are great though, I have made several purchases from them lately.

A friend of mine had the Bassani, but after he heard my UPR, he ordered on the next day. His friend with an 03 Cobra heard my car also one day we took a trip to Mustangs Unlimited and he asked me what the hell kind of pipe I had. He had a stock exhaust at the time, but said he would be ordering the UPR.

Hell, now that I think about it, UPR needs to be giving me a discount on some of their stuff for all of this advertising and business I'm bringing them...
