Thoughts??

When my 96GT idles at around 1000 RPM the engine makes a "clunking" noise. If I rev it to 1500, it goes away. Has this happened to anyone else? Thoughts?

Sounds like passenger side lower front near the AC compressor

Is it a thud type sound? More like a thump thump thump? My truck is doing something weird like this ....

a video or soundclip would help immensely. "clunk clunk clunk" isnt very descriptive

Bad belt tensioner, I might be wrong on the part name. Start the car, look on the belt pulley below the AC Compressor, you should see the tensioner "bouncing" and it is likely hitting the front timing cover.
