When my 96GT idles at around 1000 RPM the engine makes a "clunking" noise. If I rev it to 1500, it goes away. Has this happened to anyone else? Thoughts?
Bad belt tensioner, I might be wrong on the part name. Start the car, look on the belt pulley below the AC Compressor, you should see the tensioner "bouncing" and it is likely hitting the front timing cover.
