Hers a question im sure thats been asked before but here goes.

When changeing TB why would you choose either 70mm or 75mm
I know we are talking about size but Im currently N/A and someday going SC
Current mods 2003 GT, Long tubes, high flow cats, Magna packs and Mac cold air .

Im leaning toward Accufabs TB and Plenum or Accufabs TB and Trickflows Plenum could someone spell it out why i would choose 70mm and not 75mm?

I was happy at the results. It's cheap and good on the sotp meter.

If you're going to be supercharged in the future, you might as well go with the 75mm now. Yeah, you might lose a tiny bit over the 70mm now, but it'll give you a lot later when you're forcing air through it and it will save you from having to upgrade twice.

i agree with gearbanger, once you start modding you can't stop! Next you will want ported and polished heads or a supercharger etc. So you might as well get the 75mm TB now and not have to worry about swapping it out later. You may lose 1 or 2 hp now on a stock set up but you will gain that back and a few more down the road.

for basic bolt ons on a 4.6 the 75mm may not perform quite as well as 70mm, but pays off bigger as you upgrade engine parts or forced induction. the 5.0 engines repond a lot better and differently to larger Tbs with the same type of boltons, but they were so restricted to begin with.
