I searched about Throttle Bodies on here to see if there was anything on them. I am going to grab a 70mm throttle body since I am getting the Edelbrock Performer RPM II. Now what is a good throttle body for the money, I saw Accufabs but it was pretty pricey, is it worth it? Or should I just go with MAC or BBK? Let me know thanks!

The ONLY throttle body I would buy is Accufab. It's the only one I've never heard anyone complain about.

I had a long ordeal with MAC about their POS throttle body and EGR spacer, and Dave, and JD's Performance took the MAC back for me, and got me an Accufab at cost. The MAC whistled, wouldn't idle correctly, and the EGR coolant tubes pulled out of the thing. Furthermore, the blade wasn't even beveled to make a good seal like the Accufab unit... That's my rant, definitely don't go MAC, but Accufab would be my top pick...

accufabs are pricey but really high quality. BBk's are really good too. professional products throttle bodies are crap, mac makes a decent one.

personally id go with the BBK....just a good quality item and comes with a new tps for $180.00

Well, there's better money you could spend honestly... Put some money into a good set of heads, and it's worth much more than that throttle body. I was like you, and wanted an easy mod, so I bought the TB. I had to grind out the opening of the stock intake, etc... I didn't notice any power gain at all.... Go ahead, and save up for some good heads, even if you have to stay with the stock intake. While you do the heads, throw in a TFS stage 1 or so cam...

A throttle body on a basically stock motor really is a waste of money IMHO...

I hope I helped a little with the decision...

have you personally used all these brands throttle bodies? If not, I wouldn't go around commenting on them seeing as your opinion would be of little to no use. if you have, well then good for you. except for the mac, i have, and i could tell you there is little difference between them. my proproducts throttle body works great, zero complains from it. it has the slightlest whistle, just barely audible, and not annoying. my BBK had a loud whistle, but wasnt annoying at all either, but I like the proproducts better since setting TPS voltage is much easier, since it is adjustable on it, which it also came with a new TPS sensor. the accufab gave zero problems as well, but I would not spend the money on it, thats for sure.

i had a professional products..it stuck wide open on me in the burn out box at the strip and i almost ran over a track attendant.....

i now have a BBK and have no problems at all.....

my friend has a mac 70mm on his 2000 gt and has no problems...

accufab....what can i say..it beautiful, i have a friend that has a blown 347 with a 75mm accufab.....
