Throttle body

grassroots did a build up for a track mustang, and they specifically dyno'd a throttle body spacer. Hard to tell a difference- thier official numbers said 1.5 ftlbs & 1.5 hp. You can see from the dyno graph that *if* it really had an effect, it was in the last 1000 rpm before redline. Zooming in on the graph, the dots are about 7hp apart, and that last 750 rpm the plots are about a dot apart. This is with a Cai & tune. Call it a mod after all other N/A mods are done.

Although I can't speak from personal experience ? I can tell you that Doug from bamachips.com does not recommend throttle body spacers and considers them as a complete waste of both time and money...For the very same $90-100 bucks ? you would be much better off spending it on mods such as FRPP delete plates that are both proven and guaranteed to provide between 8-10 additional HP...Therefore IMHO ? the FRPP delete plates would be your best bang for the buck mod under $100.00
What are frpp delete plates. New to the tuning scene. One reason I decided to get the throttle body from BBK is they claim better fuel economy and more air can only be better.

Ford racing performance parts (frpp). the delete plates replace the CMCV (charge motion control valve) plates. The CMCV plates are for very low engine speed idle quality/control & startup.
