Hey..as some of you know..I am in the process of throwing in a new motor and all kinds of ****...my engine bay is currently empty except for all the wires and hoses...Now over the summer..I put on a BBk 70mm TB and spacer..
and i found that my throttle cable would not return as stiff as it would before..
i dont know if it stretched or what? IT was very very bad.. Actually i would get to a light and stop..and the rpms would stick at 2 grand or higher..and sometimes rise up..and i would be screwed...there was just almost no tension left...it def. not the TB either cause it has nice return..its the cable..
now i TEMPORARILY fixed this by putting 2 small hose clamps in front of the spring that is build into the cable..therefore making more tension..this solved the problem..but i cant keep it that way...dangerous..and looks like ****..so what do i do?!!! Get a new cable u think?? are they heavy duty ones with high tension springs or what?? i couldnt really find any?! can anyone help me out..wher eto buy them ..a link or something? thanks guys...
