Throttle body and cable?

Just got my car out from winter.InstalledAccufab plenum and FRPP TB and I have a s*&% load of slack in the throttle cable how do I get the slack out? I tried crimping some sinkers on the cable that hooks up to the gas pedal but that did not work they kept on coming off. so when I step on gas now I have no power because pedal is hitting the floor PLEASE HELP

There is a link on MustangWorld?. I just did this myself. Go to Home Depot and get a 3/4 inch long nylon spacer with enough of a hole to fit the throttle cable through. Cut the spacer long-ways with a hacksaw and slide it over the cable where the pedal and cable come together. After you slide it over, get two of the smallest hose clamps and put them overtop the whole damn thing and tighten them down (not ham-fist tight, but tight). WA-LA. Now, watch you don't snap your cable trying to smash it to the floor.

If you have any other questions, I'll be sober tomorrow morning. :D :D

You've done something wrong here - there shouldn't be the slack you're describing. Did you route the cable the same way as the OEM TB? It goes underneath, around and up. I did this same swap without any cable issues - the only thing I can think of is that you've routed the cable improperly.

He probably did what I did. There is a hell of a lot of slack in all of our cables and when you change your TB or plenum, you get under there and check everything out and REALIZE just how much slack is in that thing. Then, it bothers you and you have to fix it.

here's the link: http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/99pedals.htm

It will work for any 94-04 muskrat!

Yes the pedal mod works well. The stocker has a lot of slack in the cable.

I did the mustang world mod, but the length had to be modfied to work on '03 GT. I shortened it so that under light braking the gas pedal is at the same level as the brake pedal to make Heel-Toe easier.

nope nothing wrong on it, it is routed correctly and alot of slack. the throttle arm is different on the stock then it is on 70mm or not so much the arm but where u go underneath around and up
