The accelerator pedal is very stiff...is there a way to modify this or is there a different spring available? Thanks for your help.

Pop the throttle cable off and manual move the tb blade. It could be seizing up or rusting closed? Also, the cable could be going bad as well. The stock spring is not that stiff, so if yours feels stiff it's more than likely a problem somewhere
