i'm looking into head's right now and dont want to go too crazy. i'm wondering what you guys think of thumper's e7 vs. iron cobra gt40's?

The Thumper E7's will make more power but you probally can get the GT40 irons cheaper.

Depends on the port work. Thumper460 is an old school guy that really knows things about how to port a head right. I had Thumper E7's, and was very impressed with them.

ported gt40 > ported e7...he'll do the 40's too.

You can also get fully assembled gt40p's with 5 angle valve job for $450.....I don't know how those compare to thumpers...

The original question wasn't ported GT40's vs. ported E7's. The question was Iron Cobra GT40's.....in that case the Thumper's are way better.

A few years ago I was thinking about getting Thumper's heads. I see now that he has combos with a cam as well. Thats good stuff. If I end up keeping my car I might be giving thumper a call.

Hey Jays GreenLX.. there are more than a few of my heads running the streets of Buffalo !! LOL I'll be waiting... knowing the "Snow" is a comming and everything needs to be tucked in for the winter... cant wait till it gets cold and in the 40's here in Fl.!! LOL

I just put some Thumpers on,but the stock H-pipe is killin me Its got alot more grunt,hell the cage around the first cat just broke off,, It gets nicely louder ,Im saving for an X-pipe,I have an off rd H,but it drones like a b@tch on the highway!!and with the Thumpers it will be amplified!!

i'd go w/ thumpers porting on your gt 40's -
