I built a 302 with ford roller lifters and scorpion roller rockers with trick flow alum heads. The engine has ticked on both side since I started it. I have adjusted the rockers about 5 times now. I have talke to trick flow and scorpion. Would the side to side slop in the rocker be that noisy or I have read that some guys have put in different oil. Or maybe low oil. I am thinking of pulling the intake and checking the lifters, and then adjusting the valves again. please help

Are you using stock valve covers? They could be hitting/rubing on the valve cover.

stud mount rockers will be noisy when compared to the pedistal mount. Took me a while to get used to how loud mine were. I have new lifters.

I have pedestal mount rockers and they tick too. It's normal, as long as it's not excessive don't worry about it. They ticking may also be louder or quieter at different RPM's. For example, mine tick the loudest at 2000 RPM for some reason, then they get quiet above or below 2000 RPM. It's normal though, if it's really loud it may be hitting the valve covers like mentioned above, or you got a bad lifter. It's up to you to determine if you really want to go through the trouble of changing lifters. It's a pain and takes a while to do all the work.

if you are sure it is not rubbing on the valve covers and the slight tick is really driving you insane, get some LUCAS God I Love that Stuff!
