I just picked up a disc brake setup, thanks D.HEARNE, from a Versailles. I had a local guy tell me that the tie rod end for the Versailles is the same as that of the 68's. Can anyone help me. I was under the assumption that the Versailles and the Granada use the exact same spindle, thus I would need to use the Granada/Versailles tie rod ends. Anyone help here? Lastly, where do I get the NEW tie rod ends?
Thanks for your input....

I think they are for any pre '70 mustang, but I'm not sure. I have them on my '66.

Thanks Chris. Can anyone else let me know if the Versailles tie ends are the same as the granada? Can I just buy them off the shelf? And also about the upper/lower ball ends; are they the same as the Granada? Thanks

68converted----- one way to tell is visit your local small time parts house ( not the national chain ones. These will have the books to look up what you need to know. Look in them to see what tierods and joints will interchange. This is how I did my swap back in the 80's on my 67.

Thanks David, I planned that route had I not found the info complete from the brains on this forum. I got the old units off using the 10# shock treatment. Crazy but it worked on the first contact... just popped right off. Got that from a previous thread on removal. Again thanks D.Hearne. You guys have been great!

Are the 65-66 tie rod ends that the bushings were designed for the same as the 68? That would be a great deal if they are.
when i did the swap on my 68 i just got the granada tie rod ends..they screwed right into the adjusting sleeves..about $20.00 each at the parts store...Joe

Yes sometimes you get lucky and the joints just pop right off. Wish that had been the case on the ones on my 68 Merc. Had to use the complete aresenal to get em off, BFH's, flamethrowers, and lots of colorful language :D :D
