Does anyone know the difference between 65-66 V-8 manual steering outer tie rod ends and a 67-68 outer? The reason I'm asking is my 65 tie rods are to small on the spindles, I don't what year spindles I have.
Thanks.

Dennis may be able to help sort out what you have.
Was the car originally a 6 cyl car? It sounds like you have 6 cyl steering gear. Generally the 6 cyl cars had 4 lug spindles. Do you have 5 lug spindles but don't know what they came off of? (V8 manual steering should be 5 lug stock)
See if you can find a casting number on the spindle anywhere and post that up.
I put the Granada spindles on my last project and Dennis hooked me up with all the right tie rods so I wouldn't have to use the adapter sleeves for the small tie rods.
Or, you can get the adapter sleeves from Mustang Steve to adapt your small tie rods to the larger spindle. But, you really need to know what spindle it is just to keep things straight.

The spindles are probably 67 or later. 65-66 uses a smaller diameter tie rod mount stud than the later types.
