I want to replace my old OE with a Centerforce Dual Friction. My plan is to get a Ford TOB and pilot bearing, the clutch kit and flywheel from Center force, then comes the part I'm unsure of.

To make this work, I'm thinking a MM quadrant with a FRPP firewall adjuster. Do I have to have an adjustable cable or will a stock ford cable and the firewall adjuster do the job?

Also, is there any other parts I'm forgetting or are worth uprading?

Thanks for your consideration

Ok. A little more digging leaves me with the impression that if I get a quadrant and a firewall adjuster, I do not need an adjustable cable. If anyone knows this to be true, please chime in.

Fun Ford weekend is in town tomorrow and Sunday. May buy the stuff down there, if I can get a deal.

You certainly don't have to use an aftermarket quadrant and adjuster, but you can. The OEM quadrant is self adjusting and works, but some people prefer to manually adjust so the engagement is consistent and at the point they choose.

I was under the assumption that aftermarket clutches mandated some sort of adjustment. If the stock stuff works, I will save the cash. I know how to adjust the pedal as it is. Just didnt realize that the same adjustment would work for aftermarket. Thanks for the info.
