Well I don't know if you guys remember, but I had a tune scheduled in mid August then had to cancel it cause I blew an intake gasket and my oil pan was full of coolant. Well after letting the stupid thing sit since august its finally fixed. But I think I am just gonna call it a year and get it tuned in the spring when I have my Mustang drive rejuventated, which happens over winter to all of us. Then I'll have something to look forward to. If I get it tuned in April it will be 2 months shy of 3 years since the car has been on the road. I can't believe its been so long.

On another note my good buddy rio95 had some bad luck Friday night. As I am sure most of you know he has the red hci turbo car. Anyways Friday night one of his brothers friends drove it had it to the floor and it ran out of gas, it detonated, and blew up. I was back at the party we were at and got a call to come bring him some gas and he was afraid it was blown. So I end up driving it back to his house and I have never seen so much freakin smoke it my life. So needless to say he and I are sick of our cars right now haha. Moral of the story, don't let people drive your car and more importantly don't ever run out of gas ha.

Cheers.

DayUM...sucks to hear on both counts.

#1 reason I will not let someone drive my mustang...unless it is one of my friends who also own a mustang/sportscar.

Yeah exactly. After that night it was agreed that no one other than the two of us should drive our cars.

yeah i don't let anyone drive my car. and at the same time i don't feel comfortable driving other peoples fun cars either. just too much that could happen.

sucks to hear about rio's car. but at least it makes way for bigger, badder, stronger over the winter.

I dunno about you, I would rather have it tuned now while it's quiet and you don't have to fight to get some seat time at the dyno. Around here, you've got to book weeks in advance to get an appointment in the spring. And they're always in such a rush to get you in and out and the next guy on that I sometimes wonder if you're getting the best for you money, or the best they're willing to offer in the time they've got.

Not to mention, if you do it now she's ready to go when you are in the spring.

I suppose I will revive this thread. I never post anything about my care, mainly because nothing ever goes on with it, so most of you probably don't know much about it. Anyways, the first post in this thread should bring you all up to speed.

Anyways, the "blown intake gasket" was a blown head gasket, which we are 99%sure was blown before the car was even takin apart 3 years ago. Which is a good feeling since it drove great the 15 minutes we drove it when the turbo setup was completed and it turns out it was blown. Needless to say its just coming together again this week so I should be able to get it on the dyno for a tune finally within the next month.

Gonna keep it at 10 psi in hopes of not breaking anything until I have the money to afford for stuff to break. Sure will be weird to have access to the car again. It will be 3 years in June.
