I use to race motocross all over the South-East. I broke my back severely in three places, L1, L2, and L3, and was paralyzed shortly. My L2 vertebra was completely shattered and had to be rebuilt with a bone graph from my hip. I was on bed rest for 6 months. I also had other injuries but that was the main problem as well as a shattered right foot that had to be rebuilt completely.

After three years of a lot of pain. Lots of pain medication. Lots of doctor visits. I finally made the the decision to have the hardware removed. It's a 50/50 shot but I feel this is my only option at this point. Anyways, here's what came out of my back. Pretty crazy stuff ...

Just goes to show how fragile our bodies are when stuff goes wrong. Glad you're fairly ok after your incident:nice: Hard to tell the size of your trophies with nothing in reference to it.

The lady across the street has METALIC on her plate as she has numerous replacement parts:rlaugh:

From one Gator fan to another, hopefully this alleviates the problem. I have a friend here in Charleston that had 17 pieces of titanium put in his back. He has a 2001 GT made to look like a 2000 R which he just can't drive anymore. He's talking about getting rid of it and getting a Roush with an auto. I keep telling him NO! Anyways, I wish both of you the best and hopefully you can get out there and drive!

Good to see another Gator fan on the forum, GO GATORS !! Anyways, thanks for the wishes. I actually made a lot of progress in my recovery in the past few days. I tried to drive my car for the first time today. Granted it was only down to the mail box to pick up my new detailing products. I can push the clutch in and all of that with no problem. The incision is still sensitive so it hurts putting my back against the seat.
