Well, I had a really good spring break, making more than enough money to pick up a competition engineering magnum 4 link kit ( http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=CEE-2028&N=700+115&autoview=sku ) and some qs chrome moly rod ends with better than 40000 lb static load capacity.
Here are my thoughts on the mounting of the 4 link. I want to take 1.75 inch OD 3/16 wall DOM tube and mount it roughly (key word, measurements have yet to be taken) in the same spots as the red circles in the picture below. I will drill out the frame and weld the cross members through the rails. The top rail will need to have a loop in it to accommodate the drive shaft in the center but the 4 link brackets will be mounted to the tube. Maybe this is a dumb idea but that is why i am asking. If anyone has any input on the use of solid rod ends or my mounting idea (maybe it wont be strong enough) please let me know. I don't know what to expect for life span on on solid rod ends. Keep in mind that I am not looking for a ride on a cloud, I am trying to build a bad a$$ street car worthy of road racing (at the track). I will be using a competition engineering sway bar http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=CEE-2041&N=700+115&autoview=sku
and a competition engineering panhard bar http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=CEE-2037&N=700+115&autoview=sku
