I was after the transmission out of this truck to keep before scrap yard come from it. But I broke the first bolt I tried on my mustang so I put it back together so I could drive it and thought I'd get some heat and get this cover incase I need it or can use it

Yes, provided you can get it removed from that engine without breaking anything and then cleaning it up real good.

It’s funny, I just had an issue related to this on Tuesday. A fox I was working on actually had a truck timing cover. I did a hci swap and went to put the timing cover and water pump on, only to discover the fox body wp gasket I had didn’t fit since the holes are oriented differently.

Keep that in mind, the truck and fox take different water pumps as well as wp gaskets.

The truck WP usually turns the opposite direction. The coolant holes in that timing cover look like they are angled wrong for a fox WP. Definitely compare them to each other.

The serpentine trucks all have reverse rotation pumps.

The top.hole.in the cover don't line up with any on the pump. All other holes line up I think

The water port configuration is incorrect. This is what it should be for a Mustang

Here’s the Mustang Edelbrock WP. Looks a bit different that they one you have but that could just be due to truck vs Mustang

My engine gasket kit came with about 8 different water pump gaskets so there are different pump/timing gear covers.....

Ya when I bought the pump I got it for a 89 Mustang 5.0... it said it would fit on the fitment but it doesn't look right. Weird that both of those gaskets came with the pump.
