The water port configuration is incorrect. This is what it should be for a Mustang

Here’s the Mustang Edelbrock WP. Looks a bit different that they one you have but that could just be due to truck vs Mustang

Ya your pump looks the same as mine just different bolt location with the top bolt. Wonder what 302 this pump is for? Different than mustang and truck 302

Found a better pic. Not sure what your pump is off. This is an Edelbrock 8840

I see a lot of differences in the bolt mounting and extra holes

That pump you have will not work with a serpentine setup, it’s standard rotation.

It's supposed to be a 8840 for 1986-1992 with serpentine belt. That's what's on the bill and on the box.

Wondering if the wrong pump was in the box some how. Trying to look up that number and see if I can get a image to compare

That's not an Edelbrock 8840. My pump in my pics is an 8840.

Looks like the wrong pump was put into the box

To bad... Took a while for it to come in the mail.

Going to get on sending it back. Got it from tdot performance in Toronto. But had to come from USA because of Stoke being lox.

Thanks for the help guys

The photo on the cover on the right is what should have come in the box.

Just go down to the auto parts store and order a water pump for a 88 bronco or f150.

I didn't have any luck trying to return it so far. Can't find the paper work that came with the pump and tried to look at my account on tdot performance and summit racing and can't find the pump on there. Call the edelbrock number on the instructions that came with the pump and waited on hold for 90 minutes until closing time. the pump is a 8043 I think I'll have to look on the pump again. It's for a 1971-78 302 and a little later 351w. I might have to try to sell it myself

Easy access to the transmission lol. Just pealed the cab off with the winch on the log skidder.
