I checked summit and noted that they had the -2135 timing chain for $40 and -3135 for ~$70. Is there any reason the 2135 wouldn't work for me? The ads on summit don't make any obvious distinction as to why the 3135 is worth almost twice as much.

Also, there are two different options for the timing cover gaskets. First is the Mr. Gasket 792G kit, which is under $10. Then there is also the Fel-Pro TCS45168 kit which is about $30. Which should I go for?

I also need a recommendation for water pump gaskets... the options summit gives are FEL-35211 ($2) and FEL-35066 ($4). Both are paper, again... don't know the difference.

I was planning on using the Trick Flow head/intake/exhaust/valve cover gasket kit (my heads require the o-ring, so i'm just following the summit recommended one here... p/n TFS-51400005 for the heads, the kit is TFS-51400905 ). Any issues with these gaskets? How do I address the o-rings (are the already on the head, should I replace them with the gaskets, are they included in this gasket set or do I have to buy them elsewhere)?

Cliffnotes: a) need recommendations for timing chain part #, b) water pump/timing cover gaskets, and c) what if anything I need to do for o-ringed trick flow heads besides buy the pricey gaskets from trick flow

Sorry for all the questions, just dont' want to go through horror stories with leaky gaskets. My car already leaks all over everything and I don't need more of them

not sure about the chain, but the felpro gasket set most likely includes a sleeve in case your harmonic balancer is worn.

Timing set? Roller chain 5.0 set for a late 80's-90's 5.0. Less than $20 at O'Reilly's. This is what's turning the Z303 inside my 331.

the price on timing chain sets depend on the manufacturer. the off brand ones are less expensive.
