Recently the one of the guides/tensioners on my timing chain broke. The broken part broke my valve cover. We're trying to replace it but I can't figure out what the part number is. This is on a 2006 4l v6.
The pictures aren't great but could anyone point me in the right direction?

Speaking from personal experience as a former Ford dealership technician, replace the entire timing chain set when this happens. All of the guides, the tensioners, and chains. What really sucks is the chain on the back of the engine, you'll have to remove the engine from the vehicle to access it. There are some really cheap sets out there on Amazon and Ebay if you're planning on ditching the car soon, but I'd really recommend a quality set from Ford, Cloyes, or Sealed Power such as this one https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=5969469&cc=1432172&jsn=502 if you're keeping the car long-term.

You'll also need one of these Amazon product ASIN B00GSWXN80View: https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Power-Explorer-Mustang-Mountaineer/dp/B00GSWXN80/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3OTVLM9HNAKEI&keywords=ford+4.0+timing+tool+kit&qid=1554559083&s=gateway&sprefix=Ford+4.0+%2Caps%2C230&sr=8-4
whether you fix it properly or just bandaid it by replacing the currently broken components (when the first goes, the rest follow shortly). You might see if your local O'Reilly rents it instead of buying it, they've started keeping a handful of specialty tools like this on hand.
