Timing cover dowels are being lame.

You know those 2 dowels in the block that align the timing cover? Im trying to get them out so i can scrape the gasket residue from around that area. They are tough to get out, any methods? So far i PB blasted them and tried using pliers to rotate them loose. Nothing....

Usually a pair of needle nose will allow you to twist them out.

Try what Rick said and also as your doing that, use some 4 letter words too I don't think my 347 build up would have went as smooth w/o the F word
