i need to move me distributor for a little bit. now my dad said on his pinto with a mustang engine in it which he use to have he would adjust the timing by moving the distrubior like turning it left or right. now if i move mine will it do this?

5.0/4cyl/6cyl? You can't just "move" the distributor. That affects the engine timing and it has to be set properly. I don't remember how the 5.0 drives the distributor, but if it uses a gear rather than the old Chrysler "flat tab driver" then you can remove the distributor and turn the whole thing a bit and put it back in, and that will let you move the outer case because you moved the rotor/shaft the same amount keeping the timing correct. You will need to set the timing after doing this however...
Is this a distributor or just a coil pack? Does it have a cap you can remove with a rotor inside? If not, you can put the coil pack wherever you want...
