ok so 87 5.0 5spd

trying to get rid of the common surge demon!!! and i kinda did lol!
so i reset the tps to .96 and yes the was with motor warm and eengine off.
set idle to about 600rpm with iac disconnected and dis spout out. read that flipping the iac up side down helps so i did. then disconnect battery for 10 mins
connected the iac back and spout started it for 5 mins then turned it off then repeated but with all accesories on then turn it off then turn all accesories off and started it again so now my idle is running at 1000rpm  so i bump the timing down to about 11 or 10 and theres no throttle response at all but the idle is perfect but no throttle response:mad: so no im scratching my head wondering what to do????

You guys with idle problems could same a lot of time chasing your tails if you would go through the Surging Idle Checklist. Over 50 different people contributed information to it. The first post has all the fixes, and steps through the how to find and fix you idle problems without spending a lot of time and money. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions. You can post questions to that sticky and have your name and idle problem recognized. The guys with original problems and fixes get their posts added to the main fix. :D:
