I read your site and was wondering. It seems like you made significant gains after changing your timing. I imagine it was the timing plus the mods, but seemed strange after your HCI that you didn't gain much until the up'd timing. I was wondering how high we can take our timing? Mine is set to 12 dg right now. But it actually felt a little quicker b4 I put my new intake on and had it set to 14. Sound strange?

Paul has access to his Spark Tables with his EEC Tuner so it is not valid to compare the two combos.

I still only the gloabl spark adder which is essentially the smae as advancing the distributor, I haven't changed my spark tables yet. The gains you sawme gain was from basically tuning the car, which involved addding timing and fuel. (adding timing alone typically leans the car out a little) In addition while I was playing with the timing and fuel I was also experiementing with the shift points as well which also made a large difference in my numbers.

As for my timing, I run 14 normally, and I can get away with 15 in the early spring and mid-late fall when the temps are cold. My car made no more power going from 14-18* on the dyno what so ever.
