i am stumped here, i made a thread about my car detonating..but this is sort of a sequel.. lol i got a timing gun, marked my 14 DEG> BTC removed the spout connector, and put it to 14 BTC. . reconnect the spout and now the timing advance is running it around 20 DEG BTC....??????? whats going on here? is it because its an automatic computer??? should i list all my problem so you all know whats going on?? PPPLLLEEAAASSSEEE HHHEEELLLPPPP!

Short answer: Don't worry about it, that is the way it is supposed to work.
Installing the SPOUT after setting the base timing with it removed allows the computer to advance the timing. It is not unusual for the timing to jump up to the 20 degree mark when the computer takes control of the ignition timing.
