Ok, Im pretty sure I did this wrong  I started to tint my taillights with the vht night shades stuff, and I took the taillights off the car, looked them over and fig. the only way to get them apart would be to pop them at the seals, so instead of doing that I just masked off the reverse part of the taillight and painted them from the outside....I know its gotta be wrong cause from a distance they look good, but once you get up close they are very dull...so how do I do this correctly?

You did it right, get some sand paper and sand between coats, then get a coat or two of clear on there when you are happy with the darkness. Shouldn't have to pull the seals apart at all.

ya mine look dull. make sure you spray VERY light coats. i caked mine on pretty thick and they look dull and rough textured. :bang:
im gonna do a little sanding then hit 'em with clear coat when i find the time.

good luck with yours man!
