I'm in the middle of installing UPR upper control arms and UPR upper torque box reinforcements. I got both arms out, 1 torque box reinforcement in and done. I started putting in one of the arms but the rear end side bushing/shell are holding me back. How do I get it out? I got the bushing out easily, but the shell is stuck. I was banging it with a hammer and it doesn't seem to be budging. My dad gave me a lump hammer so i'll try that maybe tomorrow. Anyone have any tips BESIDES buying the MM tool?

I didn't take the shell off of mine, I drilled the rubber out as much as possible(some use a torch & burn them out), I then took a wire wheel cup & cleaned the rest of the rubber out to put in my Energy Suspension poly bushings in. Hope that helps.

I need to get the shell out so I can put in my upr sperical bearing.

I don't see why people torch the bushing out when it pops out easily with a hammer, a screw driver and a drill.

Mike take a punch and hit the shell, try to cave it in, then you can beat them out. I like to soak them with some PB Blaster or another pentrating lube first, they tend to get stuck.
