Tire Dressing

Do any users have a recommendation on a Tire Dressing that does not end up splattered all over the paint when you drive down the road?

When I picked up my car at the dealer they had it detailed out, but the tire dressing they used ended up all over the side of paint on the drive home.

Frustrating to say the least...

I personally believe it's all in the application. I use a sponge to wipe onto the tire rather than just spraying it down with tire shine. A little bit goes does the job, shines nicely and I never see any spraying off onto the body. I use Wet n Black.

I was using Meguiars, but too had the splatter on the sides. I ordered some a Zaino kit a couples months ago for my paint and got some Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss as well. I think this is a much better product. It has a great shine with no tire splatter!!! It's worth the price and goes a long way.

Use a sponge type applicator and let it dry for an hour or so before driving if you can. Otherwise you most likely are going to get some splatter no matter what you use. Just don't use Armor All.

Use the foam products u put them on let them dry any you don't have to worry about the greasy look, it drys on a stays good for a while. I use "Armor All: Detailer's Advantage Tire Foam" thats the only armor all product that i use on my car, because i know it works well

I use that stuff too...it's great! Just spray it on and leave it, and I like how it just makes the tires look new, not bling-shiny.

Eagle One Wet Tire shine...use with Eagle One tire foam applicators....is what most high end detailers use.....you can also research this on Autpoia.com....IMO

Armor All Detailers Advantage. I think the results are good. But like everyone is saying its in the application. I let it sit for a while and then wipe off the excess.

Yep I use armour all tire foam as well. I apply it when the car is wet after a wash, then I dry the car. After I have the car pretty much dry, I take my tire towel and wipe off any excess and rub the remaining into the tires. I love that stuff. What ever you do, dont buy the Turtle wax premium tire shine it is a mess.

Using a sponge or towel is the trick. Wipe off the excess tire dressing and you have a great low gloss shine that won't splatter all over your paint.

the aerosol ones with the adjustable spray work well, and do not get on the car at all. and you dont have to get all messy putting it on. i think the one i have now is by meguiars.
